Book Aid is a charity that sends brand new books donated by the publishing industry, to 3000 libraries, schools, prisons, hospitals and refugee camps all over the world – primarily to sub-Saharan Africa, but their work extends to transit and refugee camps in southern Europe and the Middle East. Recently they have pledged to rebuild the University Library in Mosul, where all the books were burned by IS. Book Aid has pledged to send 50,000 books to the library in the next few years, you can see more at www.bookaid.org.
