Frank Gardner captivates sell-out audience

To a sell-out audience, Frank Gardner captivated and entertained everyone about his new thriller, Ultimatum. He spoke of the influences behind some of his characters and the reasons why he chose particular settings and how writing fiction is a release from the day job with all its hard facts and figures. Fluent in Arabic, Frank also spoke about his career, starting in the army, followed by a stint in banking before boldly giving everything up to move into journalism. William Dalrymple & Anita Anand on the KOH-I-NOOR DIAMOND

The historian William Dalrymple and his co-author, BBC Radio 4’s Anita Anand, gave a fantastic double lecture at our Books at the Barn Oxfordshire venue, on the story of the most famous diamond in the world, the KOH-I-NOOR. We were lucky to catch them on a busy promotional tour for the book, and we hope we can tempt them to our Hampshire venue for the paperback of KOH-I-NOOR.
